Why We Created the Coney Medical Technologies Fund
The Coney Medical Technologies Fund was created to support the growth of a medical technology that addresses one of the largest unmet needs in healthcare: safe, effective treatment for chronic pain. Millions of patients suffer from temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) and chronic anterior knee pain, yet treatment options are often limited to physical therapy, long-term medication, or invasive procedures that may not provide lasting relief.
When the opportunity emerged to invest in a proprietary, FDA-cleared device designed to treat both conditions with a non-invasive, non-opioid approach, we recognized the potential to support a solution that could benefit patients, providers, and the healthcare system as a whole.
The Fund was established to provide the capital needed to accelerate commercialization, expand clinical adoption, and scale manufacturing and distribution. With regulatory clearance already in place and a large global market, the focus is on execution- bringing a validated technology to more practices and more patients.
We created the Coney Medical Fund to back innovation that has the potential to improve outcomes, reduce reliance on medication, and help redefine how chronic pain is treated.
